Construction of kitchen garden
We ensure household food security and diet diversity to vulnerable communities in rural areas to promote a healthy living by introduction of kitchen garden technique. We construct, facilitate a sustainable starter seed supply and maintain the kitchen gardens for them. The small areas we have identified in 200+ households and constructed kitchen gardens now produce enough and a variety of vegetables for them. Our target is to construct kitchen gardens for 1000+ households which have already been identified.
Goal
To promote a healthier organic living to vulnerable communities who have small pieces of lands.
What we do
- Construct kitchen gardens
- Supply seedlings
- Educate on maintenance of kitchen gardens

![we have also encouraged our farmers to use raised bed gardening which promotes water retention, reduces weeds, avoids soil compaction from human feet and provides more growing space. hundreds of our farmers have embraced it and can now talk of a sustainable farming system.](https://corehw.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/a8.jpg)
